Activision Blizzard, is one of America’s largest video game developers, also being the studios
behind numerous renowned games such as Candy Crush, World of Warcraft and Call of Duty are being sued for, claims of sexual harrasment, amongst others.
The action filed in 2021 in the State of California against the multi million dollar company which was sued over alleged “frat boy” workplace culture and violations of the California Fair Employment and Housing Act. The outcome of the sexist and male dominated working culture, even lead to the tragic death of a female employee who committed suicide during a business trip.
Activision Blizzard had then proposed a $18 million settlement and according to the
Washington Post in a news article dated 22 March 2022, “U.S. District Judge Dale Fischer is ‘prepared to approve’ Activision Blizzard’s $18 million settlement with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) …”.
