The Indonesian Ministry of Investment/Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) are hosting a special webinar, Legal Survey on Distribution in Indonesia.
About the webinar
Under Indonesia’s new Investment Priority List issued in February of this year, distributor businesses that previously had a maximum foreign ownership of 67% can now in principle have 100% foreign capital. This change caused a surge of interest from Japanese companies.
However, apart from the issue of foreign ownership, there are still multiple relevant regulations containing restrictions and requirements. It is vital that distributor businesses understand these regulations before deciding to invest.
In response, JICA conducted a legal survey to support the investment promotion of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM and to serve as material for consideration by Japanese companies. The survey results will be delivered during this webinar.
In addition, SSEK partner Stephen Igor Warokka, SSEK associate Greita Anggraeni and a representative from Mori Hamada & Matsumoto will lead a Q&A session for webinar participants.
Date and Time: Thursday, October 21, 9:30 – 11:30 am (Jakarta time)
Language: English and Japanese (materials are mainly in English)
