International law firm Bird & Bird has grown its London Real Estate group with the arrival of partner John Danahy and his team.
John advises leading international fund, investor, developer and operator clients on major transactions across a number of sectors, but with a strong focus on real estate in the energy sector. His experience covers traditional real estate as well as infrastructure projects.
Specifically, John’s energy practice covers real estate across all forms of new energy / renewables, demand response (battery storage and gas), nuclear (new build and decommissioning), large scale gas, distributed energy networks, infrastructure, power cables and pipelines.
Additionally, he has a strong reputation in the nuclear sector having spent 2 years seconded to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and having acted on all significant nuclear decommissioning and new build projects in recent years including Hinkley C and Sizewell C.
