SIAC Signs MOU With China International Contractors Association.
The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China International Contractors Association (CHINCA) on 27 August 2024 in Singapore to cooperate on effective resolution of international disputes.
Under the MOU, SIAC and CHINCA will discuss and explore, on the basis of mutual interest, respect and understanding, the possibility of (1) cooperation with the mediation centre established by CHINCA; (2) developing and/or conducting training programmes or workshops for CHINCA’s members to enhance their knowledge of drafting of multi-tier dispute resolution clauses which include mediation and arbitration, law and practice of international arbitration, and the rules and practice of SIAC; and (3) providing marketing support for, and participating as a supporting organisation in, SIAC’s events in China and CHINCA’s events in Singapore.
