The Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (“HKIAC”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kiran Sanghera to the role of Deputy Secretary-General, effective 20 January 2025.
Kiran is a prominent figure in the field of international dispute resolution. She spent over a decade in leadership positions at international institutions in Hong Kong and Sydney, including HKIAC, Harbour Litigation Funding, the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre, and most recently the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA). Kiran brings a versatile skill set honed through a variety of roles, including in casework, strategy planning and business development, and general management.
Kiran is well-known to the Hong Kong community, having played an instrumental part in HKIAC’s growth during her previous roles at the Centre, including overseeing HKIAC’s business development initiatives and leading its domain name dispute resolution practice. She also has strong ties with the international arbitration community and is currently Co-chair of the Institutions Taskforce of the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations.
Kiran is fluent in English, Spanish and French. She has been recognised by leading directories, including as a Future Leader by Lexology 2024.
