On July 8, 2026, BASiC Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (BASiC Semiconductor, stock code: 9971.HK) was listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. The company was listed pursuant to Chapter 18C of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, which applies to specialist technology companies. BASiC Semiconductor offered 27,386,200 H Shares (subject to adjustment depending on whether the 15% over-allotment option is exercised) at an offer price of HK$ 31.62 per share, raising approximately HK$ 866 million.
Founded in 2016, BASiC Semiconductor is engaged in the research, development, manufacturing and sale of silicon carbide (SiC) power devices. Its products include automotive-grade and industrial-grade SiC power modules as well as SiC discrete devices and gate drivers for power semiconductors.
JunHe acted as the PRC legal counsel to the joint sponsors and underwriters in this project. We conducted legal due diligence on the issuer and its subsidiaries and drafted, reviewed and revised the application and offering documents relating to the listing. We also drafted, reviewed and revised the full set of PRC legal documents for the CSRC filing for the overseas listing. Our team issued PRC legal opinions and assisted in responding to comments from the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in connection with the listing application. Ultimately, JunHe assisted BASiC Semiconductor to successfully list on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
