KorumLegal Consultant: Mark Hamilton Shares His Journey From Traditional Law To NewLaw Innovation.

December 1, 2025

December 1, 2025 by

This month, our KorumLegal Consultant is Mark Hamilton. Mark is admitted to practice law in England, Wales, and Israel, holding 13 years of experience in corporate transactions, financial services regulation, and General Counsel roles at prominent law firms and investment companies in London and Tel Aviv.

1. Hi Mark! Can you tell us a little about the work you have currently been doing?

For many years, I have been working at large law firms in England and Israel, and also as a General Counsel (GC) at an investment company, specialising in technology-related corporate transactions and financial regulation.

2. What made you take the leap into working in NewLaw for ALSPs? And why is it a good fit for you?

I wanted to collaborate with people who share my enthusiasm for innovation in legal services, and working with ALSPs often gives me ideas on how to improve the client experience.

3. What’s the most rewarding assignment you’ve ever had and why?

I would have to say that all of my assignments are equally rewarding, as each client and project is special and unique in their own way.

4. As an experienced NewLaw/ALSP consultant, where do you see NewLaw/ALSPs fitting into the matrix of the legal sector and how have you seen it evolve?

I believe ALSPs have often been, and will continue to be, thought leaders in reshaping how legal services are delivered in ways that truly meet the needs of clients.

5. What trends do you expect to see in the legal services industry in the next 5 years?

I think we will observe continuous evolution of legal services, as well as efficiency gains.

6. What’s your favourite tune and why?

Wonderful Life, sung by my daughter Tamara Hamilton. Please listen here.

KorumLegal is a boutique legal consultancy committed to providing value innovation in legal service delivery. The legal services industry is continuing to change with ‘NewLaw’ – and clients are seeking more innovative and cost-effective solutions without compromise on experience and quality
