Our Partners, Cathryn Chay and Chin Lit Fwu, assisted by our Senior Legal Associate, Gloria Tan, from our Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions practice group, recently supported Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet) on its joint venture (JV) with Singapore’s Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS) by advising on, drafting and reviewing the documentation. The JV has been appointed as Nexus Technical Operator following a competitive procurement process.
This appointment by Nexus Global Payments marks a significant step in advancing cross-border payments in the region by making them faster, more seamless and accessible for consumers and financial institutions alike.
The PayNet–NETS JV brings together the strengths of two national payment infrastructure operators to support the delivery of a world-class platform for Nexus.
