International law firm Bird & Bird welcomes M&A specialist Florian Fehres as a new Corporate partner in Amsterdam.
Florian advises a broad range of international clients across various sectors – particularly those shaped by heavy regulation, government involvement and innovation, such as renewable energy, tech and gaming. He regularly advises private equity firms, institutional investors, privately held multinational corporations, corporate and strategic parties, entrepreneurs, and their stakeholders throughout the entire M&A lifecycle.
His practice includes both domestic and cross-border M&A, leveraged buyouts, and joint ventures.
Joining from Norton Rose Fulbright, Florian’s arrival is a strategic addition to Bird & Bird’s Dutch M&A team, enhancing the firm’s private equity capabilities and further supporting client demand for transactional advice in regulated and innovation-driven sectors.
Evelyn Tjon-En-Fa and Marcus Huisman, co-heads of the Netherlands at Bird & Bird, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Florian to our Amsterdam office. His arrival is an important addition to our Dutch Corporate team, where there is strong demand for high-quality M&A advice, particularly in cross-border transactions, private equity and where clients operate in fast-evolving sectors. Florian’s experience and client base will further strengthen our offering in the Dutch market, and we’re delighted to have him join us.”
Alberto Salvadè and Matt Bonass, co-heads of Bird & Bird’s international Corporate Group, commented: “Florian is a strong fit for our international Corporate practice. His work across sectors such as energy, tech and gaming, combined with his international outlook and collaborative approach, will create valuable opportunities to work with colleagues across our network and support clients on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters. It’s great to have him on board!”
Florian adds: “Bird & Bird is renowned for its strong global network and excellent reputation in the technology sector. The Amsterdam office offers the full-service platform I need to support my clients and further develop my practice. Just as importantly, my discussions with the team have made clear that Bird & Bird has a genuinely collaborative culture – something I value highly.”
