International law firm Bird & Bird has advised Flok Health, an AI physiotherapy clinic, on its Series A funding round led by AlbionVC and Mercia Ventures, with participation from existing investors Eka Ventures and Form Ventures.
Flok was founded in 2022 to address the problem of supply/demand mismatch in healthcare. Its AI technology has been certified as a Class IIa Medical Device, and has already been rolled out across 11 NHS regions, providing patients with same-day access to automated, responsive video appointments with an AI physiotherapist. The new funding will allow the company to rapidly scale its existing services and expand into new clinical domains and markets.
The Bird & Bird team was led by Mark Rundall (partner, Corporate) and included Francesca Mansell (senior associate, Corporate) and Ellie Goonetillake (associate, Corporate).
Mark Rundall Corporate Partner at Bird & Bird commented: “We’re delighted to have supported Flok on its Series A. Flok is tackling one of healthcare’s biggest challenges head-on, using AI to unlock scalable, high-quality care. The strength of this round reflects real confidence in the platform. We look forward to supporting Flok as it accelerates growth across the NHS and expands into new markets.”
