An esteemed figure in the legal industry, Atty. Nilo T. Divina has made a name for himself as the Founder of one of the biggest law firms in the Philippines and as Dean of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Faculty of Civil Law.
In recognition of his impact as a leading lawyer and mentor, the Asia Business Law Journal recently selected Atty. Divina as one of the Legal Icons in their A-List Top 100 Lawyers of the Philippines. It is Atty. Divina’s third consecutive year as a Legal Icon and his ninth consecutive year in the Top 100 list.
His leadership has been recognized in the Philippines and abroad, with awards such as Managing Partner of the Year in the 2021 Asian Legal Business (ALB) Philippine Law Awards, Silver Stevie Award for Thought Leader of the Year at the 2024 International Business Awards, and the 2025 and 2026 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards. In 2022, University of Santo Tomas and the UST Alumni Association bestowed the university’s highest honor on Atty. Divina by recognizing him as “The Outstanding Thomasian Alumni (TOTAL) Awardee for Law and Justice.”
Atty. Divina established DivinaLaw in 2006 and he has led the aggressive growth of the Firm in a short span of time. The Firm is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with over 100 lawyers in its roster.
