Background
Clyde & Co has been engaged by McPhee Kelshaw Solicitors & Conveyancers on behalf of the Blue Mountains City Council to conduct an independent investigation into asbestos management at the Council. The investigation is being led by Clyde & Co partner Michael Tooma.

Invitation to make submissions
The Clyde & Co investigation team is inviting written and oral submissions on asbestos management at the Council from all interested parties. The letter of invitation for submissions is available for download here. The investigation team encourages those making submissions to attempt to frame their responses in accordance with the matters listed in the Terms of Reference. This will assist the investigation team in categorising and evaluating the written and oral material that will be provided. We have created forms for submissions to assist interested parties in participating in this process. The investigation team also encourages interested parties to make submissions electronically.
Submissions deadline
All submissions to the investigation team close on 19 January 2018.
Persons wishing to attend in person to provide oral submissions need to lodge a submission form providing their contact details and will be contacted by the investigation team following receipt of their submission.
Oral submissions will be heard from 22 January 2018.
Lodging open submissions
Open submissions should be made by completing the submissions form which is available for download as a Word document at the bottom of this page. If you wish to make an open submission, please send your submission to BMCCAsbestosInvestigation@clydeco.com. Please follow the prompts in the submission form to indicate whether you are making written or oral submissions (or both).
Where requested, we will maintain the confidentiality of submissions made to the investigation team. Where confidentiality has been requested, the authorship and submissions will not be published with the investigation report.
