Skadden represented Mercari Inc., a Japanese e-commerce company and one of the world's largest C2C marketplace app providers, in its 130.7 billion yen (US$1.2 billion) initial public offering and listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
This is the largest stock listing in Japan this year, and Mercari Inc. is Japan's first unicorn – a startup with a valuation above US$1 billion. Trading commenced on 19 June 2018.
