Tanner De Witt announces with great pleasure the appointment of Sharina Mahtani as a Solicitor in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice. The appointment was effective on Tuesday 14 May 2019.
Prior to joining Tanner De Witt, Sharina worked for a litigation firm in Hong Kong where she represented clients and advised on a range of civil and criminal matters. Sharina has experience appearing before judges and masters in numerous civil and family matters both leading up to and during trials. She has appeared in matters relating to enforcement of judgments, maintenance, custody and relocation, among others. Sharina qualified as a solicitor in 2018.
Sharina earned her Bachelor of Laws with Honours from City University of Hong Kong upon having received a full scholarship plus stipend, jointly funded by the University and the Hong Kong Government. During her LLB, Sharina studied European Competition Law at University College, University of Oxford. Sharina was part of the team that won the Championship of the prestigious 20th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot during her LLB. Sharina earned her Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) from City University of Hong Kong.
