Tanner De Witt announces with great pleasure the appointment of Peter Spizzirri as the firm’s first Chief Operations Officer. The appointment is effective from 12 August 2019.
Peter joins as part of Tanner De Witt’s continual growth. As one of Hong Kong’s largest independent law firms, Tanner De Witt is set to tip the scales at 100 employees in the next few months – an unprecedented number for the firm.
An operations and change management leader, Peter has led complex assignments and cross-functional teams in a number of industries in Hong Kong over the last 20 years. With extensive experience helping companies cope with growth and change, in both entrepreneurial and corporate settings, he has led teams in the execution of overall strategy.
Peter has spent the past decade in legal firms undergoing strategic expansion. Prior to joining Tanner De Witt, he held high profile positions as Practice Manager at a renowned maritime law firm and as General Manager for Asia at a similarly prestigious London-headquartered firm.
Peter is a longtime member of Hong Kong’s rugby community, having played for Hong Kong’s national team for more than a decade while also serving coaching appointments with the HK U16s and Women’s programmes. In 2016, Peter was inducted into the Hong Kong Rugby Union’s Hall of Fame. He holds a BS in General Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
