In October last year the government of Kazakhstan and the shareholders of the Karachaganak project agreed on the distribution of income from the sale of oil.
They signed agreement included an agreement, according to which the consortium should pay to Kazakhstan a compensation in the amount of $ 1.1 billion.
Negotiations with shareholders of Karachaganak were planned to be completed before the end of 2018. However, the signing of legally binding settlement agreements did not take place.
