Baker McKenzie announces the appointment of Anne-Marie Allgrove as the new Global Chair of its IP, Data & Technology Practice Group. She succeeds Ben Allgrove, who has successfully led the practice since 2018. Ben will continue as Chair of the Firm's Innovation Committee.
Based in Sydney, Anne-Marie is a past Global Chair of the Firm’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications Industry Group. She is recognised in both Chambers and The Legal 500 as a leading individual and was named a 'Best Lawyer of the Year' for Privacy and Data Security in 2020 in Australia's Best Lawyers List.
Anne-Marie has a broad commercial practice with particular focus on issues in the technology, payments, and healthcare industries. She is also an expert on privacy related issues including data protection, security and information management across all industries and is one of the leading lawyers in relation to privacy in Australia. Anne-Marie's clients include a range of technology companies, payments organisations, pharmaceutical and health care companies, consumer and retail businesses and luxury brands.
