The Hong Kong government has gazetted the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (Amendment) Bill 2022, which will introduce changes to the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance (the “AMLO”).
As we reported in November 2020 and May 2021, the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau had consulted the public on proposed amendments to the AMLO.
