Vida M. Panganiban-Alindogan is a partner of SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan (SyCipLaw) and head of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. Her practice areas include, among others, the management, prosecution, and enforcement of intellectual property rights. She also provides regulatory advice on food, beverage and pharmaceutical products.
Ms Panganiban-Alindogan regularly advises and provides services to a diverse international clientele including well-known fashion and apparel brands, luxury goods companies, leading technology, and pharmaceutical companies. She has successfully represented intellectual property owners and stakeholders in various negotiations and proceedings, which prevented the registration and, in certain instances use, of infringing third party trademarks. She counsels clients regarding domain name issues, as well as copyright and trademark issues in social media. She has headed enforcement campaigns for clients in various industries.
She is a member of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines, the Asian Patent Attorneys Association, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, and the International Trademark Association. She has contributed to legal publications, including the Philippine section of The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Trademarks, Copyright and Patents, IP Asia, and World Trademark Law. She is currently the President-elect of the Licensing Executives Society of the Philippines.
