Ms. Jackie Lin is a partner with Tsar & Tsai Law Firm and is licensed in both New York and Taiwan. Jackie’s practice focuses on capital markets, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment and cross-border transactions.

 

During her practice of more than twenty years, Jackie has represented many well-known domestic and international corporate clients, private equity funds and institutional investors in their investments, tender offer and privatization, bid purchase, leveraged buy-out and merger & acquisition projects in various industry sectors including manufacturing, high-tech, telecommunication, cable system operators, banks, insurance carriers, securities firms, financial holding companies and financial services providers. She has assisted the clients in ascertaining the appropriate deal structures, tax planning, conducting due diligence exercise, preparation and negotiations for the transaction documents and financing documents, providing legal advice, obtaining regulatory approvals and implementing the post-transaction corporate restructuring and establishing proper corporate governance practice.

 

Jackie is also an expert on the financing and capital market industry and is familiar with the market practice and terms of the local and cross-border fund-raising and financing projects. She has acted for local and international borrowers and lenders in preparing, reviewing and negotiating various types of financing documents. On capital market practice, Jackie has in-depth understanding of the nature and structure of various types of securities and investment products and the onshore and offshore listing requirements. She provides frequent advice to local and offshore securities issuers and investment bankers on securities regulations relating to issuance, offering and placement of various investment instruments and stock exchange listing. Since 2001 to 2014, Jackie has been listed by the internationally reputable publications such as “Asia Pacific Legal 500”, “AsiaLaw” and “Chambers Asia” as the Leading Lawyer in Taiwan in the fields of “Banking and Financing”, “Corporate”, “Capital Markets” and “M&A”.

 

Jackie also advises multinational companies, financial holding companies, banks and investment banking firms and the local listed companies on a wide range of compliance issues, general corporate matters and dispute resolutions through litigation and arbitration.
