The 76th Council Meeting of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA 2024) took place from November 18 to 21 at the Conrad Manila and SMX Convention Centre. This year’s event featured dynamic academic sessions, workshops, and roundtable discussions addressing emerging IP trends and challenges across various Standing Committees, including Anti-Counterfeiting, Copyright, Patents, Trademarks, and Emerging IP Rights. These committees focused on reviewing legal developments, conducting studies, and proposing enhancements in IP law and practice throughout the Asian region. APAA also gave the opportunity to experience the rich Filipino culture through a series of vibrant events, such as Mabuhay, a spirited welcome celebration; Tuklasin, an exploration of the country’s cultural treasures; Maglakbay, which included guided tours of historic towns and bustling marketplaces; and Kislap, a dazzling showcase of Asia’s cultural diversity through music and dance.
