Our Bermuda Insurance team led by Managing Partner Brad Adderley advised Global Atlantic Financial Group in the $2.7 billion sale of its remaining 37% stake to KKR, increasing KKR’s ownership to 100%.
Global Atlantic Financial Group is a leading insurance company meeting the retirement and life insurance needs of individuals and institutions. KKR is a leading global investment firm that offers alternative asset management as well as capital markets and insurance solutions.
The transaction closed on 2 January 2024. Global Atlantic will continue to be led by its management team and operate under the Global Atlantic brand.
