Morrison & Foerster’s Hong Kong Partner and Global Chair of Private Equity Group Marcia Ellis is named “Dealmaker of Asia, Hong Kong” and “Female Dealmaker, North Asia”2021 by Asian Legal Business (ALB). This marks the second consecutive year for Marcia to be recognized as Dealmaker of Asia in the region.
Marcia is one of the most experienced and sophisticated private equity lawyers active in the Asian market. Known as a “super-skilled technical lawyer” with “incredible problem-solving skills on all aspects of matters,” she has advised clients on deals with a total aggregate value of over US$171 billion in the past two years.
In 2021 alone, Marcia has been named as one of the Top 15 Female Lawyers in Asia by ALB, selected as one of three finalists in the “Professional of The Year” category at AmCham Hong Kong’s Women of Influence Awards, and nominated for “Dealmaker of the Year” at the annual China Law & Practice Awards, the ALB Hong Kong Law Awards, and the inaugural ALB Women in Law Awards.
