As the PRC counsel to Loscam, JunHe assisted the company in merging its Chinese business with that of Brambles (the “Project”). Both Loscam and Brambles are professional pallet pooling service providers with long histories. Their combination will help to integrate resources, break existing bottlenecks, and build a true pallet pool in China. It will also help to improve supply chain efficiency, accelerate the standardization of pallets, and promote the development of the pallet pooling market in China.
Loscam specializes in providing pallets, fresh produce crates and other unitized logistics equipment pooling solutions for supply chain use. With 42 operation centers and over 200 depots in China, Loscam has established long-term, stable relationships with leading retailers, brand owners and third-party logistics providers and built a primary pallet pooling service network covering the whole country. CHEP China, as Brambles’ Chinese business operator, provides unitized container sharing-based supply chain services to customers in industries such as automobiles, fast-moving consumer goods, beverages and retail.
The JunHe team was led by partners WANG, Yi and JIANG, Wenjun (Kelvin). The Project was primarily undertaken by partner Chen, Yijia, with support from partner Phyllis Xu at JunHe’s Hong Kong office regarding Hong Kong-related legal issues. JunHe partner HU, Wei (Wayne) was consulted on changes in the employment contracts of senior executives.
