Ms. Liao has more than 10 years of experience. She specializes in criminal defense and dispute resolution in cases involving both criminal and civil law. Ms. Liao has expertise in criminal law, administrative law, anti-bribery and anti-fraud investigation, corporate compliance reviews and rectification. She has extensive experience in criminal defense and crisis handling and provides defense and crisis solutions for her clients.
Since the Supreme People’s Procuratorate launched the pilot reform program for the compliance of enterprises involved in criminal cases, Ms. Liao has been involved in the compliance efforts of enterprises based in Guangdong Province. She has worked as a third-party supervision and evaluation professional, a compliance counsel, and a hearing specialist. Ms. Liao has participated in compliance research for enterprises involved in criminal cases in Guangdong Province and drafted performance guidelines and evaluation standards for third-party organizations based in local cities.
Since 2021, Ms. Liao has been named in the published lists of professionals providing third-party supervision and evaluations for the compliance of enterprises involved in criminal cases in Guangdong Province. She has been appointed by third-party supervision and evaluation management committees to be the head of third-party organizations in connection with the investigation, evaluation, supervision and review of the compliance rectification of enterprises. Ms. Liao has led her team in compliance cases based in Guangdong Province. This includes the first ever case whereby a public hearing was held at the commencement of a corporate compliance approval. She advised enterprises as their compliance counsel and provided compliance to assist them during the review of third-party organizations and the hearings organized by the procuratorial authorities. Some of the cases handled by Ms. Liao have been recommended by third-party supervision and evaluation management committees as outstanding compliance cases.
