Appleby is delighted to announce that Counsel Erin Trimble-Cregeen has been named in this year’s eprivateclient Crown Dependencies NextGen Leaders.
The 2024 eprivateclient Crown Dependencies NextGen Leaders is based on PAM Insight’s experience and knowledge of which individuals in Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Jersey are rising stars, and why. It was also open to nominees from within the private client advisory professions be they private client tax, trust, dispute resolution and family lawyers, accountants, or trustees.
Factors considered in the selection process included, the reputation or performance of the company that the nominee works for, feedback from senior executives, trajectory of promotion/business development success and relative years of experience, and active involvement in promoting good organisational culture. This is the first year that the Isle of Man has been included, to reflect the role that the jurisdiction plays in the private wealth sector alongside Guernsey and Jersey.
Erin practices in Appleby’s dispute resolution teams in the Isle of Man and Jersey. Having trained and qualified in the Isle of Man, Erin joined Appleby in October 2015 after gaining several years’ experience at an offshore firm Ogier in Guernsey.
Erin specialises in trust disputes and general trust advisory work including advising trustees and beneficiaries on a wide range of contentious trust and estates issues and regularly presents to trust service providers on the obligations of trustees. She also undertakes commercial litigation work including insolvency matters and advising regarding restraint orders in the Isle of Man under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2008.
Following this recognition, Erin commented, “It is great to see the Isle of Man included and to see a number of nominees from the Isle of Man demonstrating the strength of the Manx private client sector alongside the other crown dependencies. I am also delighted to be nominated alongside so many talented colleagues.”
