Topdanmark Forsikring A/S has signed an agreement to acquire Oona Health A/S and all subsidiaries hereof from the PE fund AnaCap Financial Partners and a number of minority shareholders, including management. Oona Health A/S comprises, among others, Forsikringsselskabet Dansk Sundhedssikring A/S which is market leading and focused on sales and administration of health insurances, as well as PrimaCare A/S which delivers part of the value chain related to health insurances. The purchase price amounts to DKK 2.25bn.
With the acquisition Topdanmark secures a strong position in a fast-growing market with high customer loyalty.
Dansk Sundhedssikring has been hugely successful since it got licensed in 2020 and had a growth of 43 per cent in premium payments in 2022.
Bird & Bird has assisted the management of Dansk Sundhedssikring in connection with the #transaction. The Bird & Bird team consisted of Mette Mernø Hans Jakobsen, Morten Rosenmejer, and Filip Patrzalek Kaas.
