DivinaLaw recently hosted “Opening up Opportunities: The Philippines and Canada Business Matching Session” in Makati City. The event was co-organized by Singaporean law firm Risewell SG, in partnership with the Government of Alberta in Canada and Alberta-based law firm Shory Law LLP.
Senior Partner Atty. Enrique V. Dela Cruz Jr. shared a brief overview of doing business in the Philippines and discussed the promising future of mining, electronics and semiconductors, renewable energy, business process outsourcing (BPO), and fintech industries.
The Canadian delegation included government officials and executives from the electronics, IT, engineering and construction, and pharmaceutical sectors.
Philippine companies included representatives from finance, manufacturing, construction, retail, real estate and property development, and education sectors.
