Linklaters advised Chindata Group Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: CD), a leading carrier-neutral hyperscale data centre solution provider in Asia Pacific emerging markets, on its debut issuance of US$300m senior notes due 2026.
The issuance received strong support from high quality international institutional investors and was oversubscribed. The net proceeds will be used for the company’s investment in data centres in mainland China and overseas, supplementing working capital and investment in research and development.
The Linklaters’ team was led by capital markets partners Lipton Li and Terence Lau who are based in the firm’s Hong Kong SAR office, with support from Singapore-based counsel Xunming Lim.
Partner Lipton Li, commented:
“We are pleased to have had the opportunity to support Chindata Group on their inaugural high yield bond issuance, marking an important milestone for them to tap the international bond market. Leveraging on the firm’s wider capital markets team in Asia, we are well-placed to advise on complex and market-shaping transactions in the region. Our team looks forward to continuing to support clients on their strategic objectives and to help them maximise funding opportunities.”
