JunHe sincerely welcomes new partner Ryan Choi to our Hong Kong office. Mr. Choi specialises in Hong Kong capital markets, post-listing compliance, corporate financing and mergers and acquisitions. He holds legal qualifications in Hong Kong and China (Mainland), and his transfer procedures to our Hong Kong office are currently underway.
Before joining JunHe, Mr. Choi was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and he has also worked at the Hong Kong offices of Sidley Austin LLP and Loeb & Loeb LLP.
He has long been involved in Hong Kong capital markets, with extensive experience in Hong Kong initial public offerings, secondary listings, post-listing compliance, mergers and acquisitions, overseas bond issuances, and other corporate transactions. He has participated in several landmark Hong Kong IPO projects, including Muyuan Foods (the world’s largest hog farming company), Shanghai Iluvatar (a leading company in China’s general GPU industry), ZG Group (the first company from Mainland China to list in Hong Kong via the De-SPAC model), and Beijing Airdoc Technology (one of the first AI-empowered biotech company from mainland China listed in Hong Kong). In cross-border mergers and complex transactions, he represented NetDragon in the spinning off of its overseas education business for listing on NYSE, which was selected as a “Deal of the Year’” by China Business Law Journal.
Mr. Choi has accumulated extensive practical experience and acquired outstanding reputation in the Hong Kong capital markets field. After joining JunHe, he will leverage over ten years of experience to support JunHe’s Hong Kong capital markets business. His deep understanding of the regulatory environment and professional capabilities in Hong Kong IPOs and other complex transactions will provide strong support to JunHe’s corporate clients.
