Linklaters advised Tecpetrol S.A. on the US$450 million reopening of its 7.625% senior notes due 2033, which constitutes a further issuance of Tecpetrol’s 2033 notes initially issued on January 22, 2025.
The notes were offered and sold pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the U.S. Securities Act. The offering launched on September 3, 2026, priced on September 8, 2026, and closed on September 14, 2026. Application has been made to have the notes listed on Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos S.A. and admitted to trading on A3 Mercados S.A.
Tecpetrol is a leading participant in the oil and gas market in Argentina, and its activities include the exploration, exploitation, and transport of hydrocarbons. Tecpetrol is the largest operator of non-conventional gas in Argentina and one of the main holders of areas in the Vaca Muerta formation in the Neuquina basin, one of the largest shale areas in the world.
