ACCRALAW Partner Chrysilla Carissa P. Bautista was re-elected as a Trustee of the Philippine Bar Association (PBA). She was also elected as Treasurer of the PBA for this current term.
The newly elected officers took their oath before Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo on 6 February 2023 at the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
Ms. Bautista is an experienced litigator and represents clients in criminal, civil, and commercial disputes. She also renders advice on corporate law matters such as investments, mergers and acquisitions, and various compliance issues. Apart from serving as Trustee and Treasurer of the PBA, she also co-chairs the PBA’s committees on Information, Legal Education & Family Law, and Website & Social Media.
Several ACCRALAW lawyers also served as Past Presidents of PBA, namely Founding Partner Sen. Edgardo J. Angara† (1975-1976), Of Counsel Rogelio A. Vinluan (1998-1999), Senior Legal Counsel Victor P. Lazatin (2006-2007), and Of Counsel Emerico O. de Guzman (2014-2015).
The PBA is the “oldest voluntary national organization of lawyers in the Philippines” and is a staunch advocate for the Rule of Law.
