DivinaLaw Energy lawyers led by Senior Partners Atty. Richie Avigale A. Ramos-Pilares and Atty. Jay M. Layug and a powerhouse team of female lawyers were among the speakers featured on the first day of the PhilEnergy Expo 2024.
PhilEnergy Expo is a three-day exhibition that features conferences and seminars from PhilEnergy’s supporting organizations. It aims to highlight innovations and advancements in the energy and power sectors, and connect international suppliers to local and regional buyers in the field. The event will be held from March 20 to March 22, 2024, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Atty. Ramos-Pilares discussed the foreign ownership of Renewable Energy (RE) developers while Atty. Layug discussed the Philippines’ Transition to Clean Energy. They were joined onstage by DivinaLaw female associates to showcase their expertise on various aspects of energy law: Atty. Cassandra Joy M. Polinar discussed RE service contracts and EPC, Atty. Jamille Justine P. Santos spoke to potential investors on Doing Business in the Philippines, and Atty. Jonah May C. Enayon shared the fiscal incentives for RE companies.
Atty. Layug is the president of Developers of Renewable Energy for AdvanceMent, Inc. (DREAM), the umbrella organization of all renewable energy associations in the Philippines. Atty. Ramos-Pilares is the assistant corporate secretary of DREAM.
