DivinaLaw recently inked partnerships with the Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution (OADR) and Philippine Association of Law Schools (PALS) for the Philippine qualifying rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition co-hosted annually by the firm with the University of Santo Tomas (UST).
Atty. Nilo T. Divina, managing partner of DivinaLaw and dean of the UST Faculty of Civil Law, signed a Memorandum of Agreement with OADR Executive Director Atty. Margaret Raizza D. Andaman and with PALS President Dean Teodoro A. Pastrana.
Also present during the signing were OADR Deputy Executive Director Krista Gem M. Santos, OADR Director Reinalyne Vidallon-Varias, and members of the Executive Committee of the DivinaLaw-UST Philippine Jessup Cup.
The Jessup is the largest moot court competition in the world. Last year’s competition drew 642 teams from over 90 countries and 150 teams at the international rounds held in Washington, DC. The Jessup national rounds co-hosted by DivinaLaw and UST had 21 participating schools, including the University of the Philippines which emerged as the world champion in 2024.
Under the agreement, OADR and PALS will help DivinaLaw in enlisting judges for the Philippine qualifying rounds.
