Health law firm Hill Dickinson has advised leading private healthcare group London International Patient Services (LIPS) on the opening of a state-of-the-art medical facility at Battersea Power Station.
LIPS is the UK’s largest private group of leading NHS teaching hospital consultants, providing access to a range of multi-specialty experts and world-class patient-centred care. The opening of the brand-new facility at the Grade II listed Battersea Power Station, alongside the LIPS Pharmacy, is a groundbreaking development for both LIPS and the London private healthcare market.
LIPS was advised by a multidisciplinary legal team at Hill Dickinson, led by Commercial Health partner Jamie Foster, supported on commercial and regulatory matters by Eleanor Tunnicliffe, Stephen Barnfield, Jasmine Fleming-Gilmore, Alex Hollingsworth, Ambika Pugalia and Jasmyn Spanswick. Jaspal Sekhon and Danielle Higgins from the Corporate team advised on the corporate structuring of the group and on several fundraising rounds (including under SEIS and EIS). Advice in relation to the premises and fit-out was provided by teams from Health Real Estate (Andrea Proudlock, Grant Anderson, Alexandra Maleedy and Alanna McCabe) and Construction (Alan Pugh, David Banks, David Crone and Joanne Mizon).
Commenting on the deal, Jamie Foster said: “We were delighted to act for Ibraheim, Paul and the team over a number of years to support the development of this new facility. This was a large and complex project, which required us to adopt a multidisciplinary approach across numerous practice areas within the firm to provide our client with a seamless service across all aspects of the venture to bring it to life. We wish them all the best in this groundbreaking endeavour.”
