Leading commercial law firm Hill Dickinson is embarking on an exciting next chapter with the commencement of fit-out works for its new Manchester office. Located within the prestigious St Michael’s development spearheaded by Gary Neville’s Relentless Group, the new 18,200 sq ft workspace has been designed by Incognito and will be delivered by DENTONS.
The project marks a significant investment and an important milestone for Hill Dickinson as it seeks to set a new benchmark in office environments both in the legal sector and further afield. Due to complete by the summer, Hill Dickinson is aiming to create an inspirational workspace for its team, its stakeholders and its clients. It follows the firm’s new office opening in Leeds at the landmark 11 Wellington Place development in January 2024, which created a pioneering sustainable, collaborative space for its colleagues.
Relocating from its existing Fountain Street premises, Hill Dickinson’s new suite occupies the top floor of the St Michael’s development, which boasts commanding views of Manchester city centre and an exclusive roof terrace. The building has already achieved a NABERS 5* rating and BREEAM Outstanding, and Hill Dickinson has further promised to target SKA Gold and Carbon Zero status for its fit out to ensure it aligns with its commitments as a responsible business.
Barry Gibb, Hill Dickinson partner and head of office for Manchester, commented: “This move represents another pivotal step in Hill Dickinson’s growth strategy. Our investment in a new office in one of Manchester’s most exciting developments underlines our commitment to the city and our people, and a desire to improve the sustainability of our operations. We’re using intelligent, sustainable design to create an environment that will encourage greater collaboration and innovation, prioritise our people and be welcoming for our clients. St Michael’s provides the perfect platform for our business and we’re excited to be moving in later this year.”
Simon Millington, director at Incognito, added: “We are honoured to have worked with Hill Dickinson since our inception, and even more so to be working alongside the firm on this transformational project. Our design approach is focused on creating a future-forward workspace that blends the familiarity of Hill Dickinson’s emerging brand with functionality and sustainability to ensure the new office is a shining exemplar for workplace excellence.”
Terry Price, group managing director at DENTON, stated: “Partnering with Hill Dickinson on this project is a privilege for DENTON. This fit-out represents an exciting opportunity for DENTON to deliver a workspace that not only meets the highest standards of design and functionality but also reflects Hill Dickinson’s strong commitment to ESG principles. We are proud to work alongside Hill Dickinson to create a space that sets a new benchmark for leading office environments.”
The wider project team includes Avid as project manager and Kennedy Redford as MEP consultant, each playing a key role in ensuring the project meets its ambitious sustainability and performance targets.
