The Firm has won the award every year since the Asia IP Awards started in 2010
Baker McKenzie won five awards at the 2020 Asia IP Awards, including "Asia Pacific Trademarks Firm of the Year." The Firm has once again dominated the event, with more wins than any other law firm in the region.
The Firm was also awarded "Trademarks Firm of the Year" for Vietnam. The Hong Kong team and its Indonesian member Firm, HHP Law Firm, won "Patents Firm of the Year," while the China team collected "International Copyright Firm of the Year."
"It is extremely gratifying to be selected as the leading 'Asia Pacific Trademarks Firm of the Year' once again. The spread of the categories in which we won is a testament to the strength of our IP practice across the region," Isabella Liu, Asia Pacific chair of Baker McKenzie's IP and technology practice, said. "We would like to thank Asia IP for this recognition, and also our clients for entrusting us with their most complex IP matters. We look forward to continually supporting our clients in all their IP strategies and objectives across the Asia Pacific region."
The Asia IP Awards, which recognize law firms' outstanding achievements in patents, trademarks and copyright across Asia Pacific, are based on the votes of more than 5,000 in-house counsel in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
