Kirkland & Ellis is advising the special committee of the board of directors of NYSE-listed Country Style Cooking Restaurant Chain Co., Ltd. (“Country Style Cooking”), a leading fast-food restaurant chain in China, in connection with its evaluation of a ‘going private’ proposal from a buyer group including the company’s co-founders Ms. Hong Li and Mr. Xingqiang Zhang. The Country Style Cooking Board of Directors received the proposal on August 14, 2015.
The Kirkland team on the transaction is being led by Hong Kong corporate partners David Zhang and Jesse Sheley.
