Skadden advised New Wave, an entity owned by the management team of Sina Corporation, led by its chairman and CEO Charles Chao, in its US$ 2.59 billion take-private acquisition of Sina, a global Chinese-language internet media company. New Wave is Sina's largest shareholder.
The Skadden team was led by partners Julie Gao (Hong Kong) and Peter Huang (Beijing), with Of Counsel John Hartley (Hong Kong) and associates Layton Niu (Hong Kong), Rosanna Passmore (Hong Kong), Jian Wang (Beijing), Charles Shi (Hong Kong) and Vivian Luo (Hong Kong).
