The Philippines has lagged behind its Southeast Asian neighbors in embracing economic digitalization, but due to the ongoing pandemic, the country is now forced to catch up to this trend.
As the country faces an economic decline due to the prolonged community quarantine that severely affected traditional brick and mortar business, lawmakers are not shifting their focus in capitalizing the digital space to stimulate the economy.
The article also tackled guidelines released by several government agencies to help mitigate the impact of the pandemic on businesses and Filipinos.
