Check out this third episode of ‘Labour Law – Grab n Go’, where Stephanie Yip, Associate of our Employment and Pensions practice discusses the implication of the case of Breton Jean v. H-K Bellawings Jet Limited [2021] HKDC 46. The district court ruled that that days on which an employee has to be contactable by phone and report to work within a specific timeframe after being contacted cannot qualify as rest days under the Employment Ordinance.
