India - Disclosure Of Holding Of Specified Securities And Holding Of Specified Securities In Dematerialized Form.

Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) vide Circular No. SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD-1/P/CIR/2022/92 dated June 30, 2022 issued “Disclosure of holding of specified securities and Holding of specified securities in dematerialized form”. Regulation 31 of Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (“Listing Regulations”), deals with the disclosure of shareholding pattern and manner of maintaining shareholding in dematerialized format.

The recognized stock exchanges and depositories are directed to take necessary steps to put in place systems for implementation of this circular. The recognized stock exchanges are directed to bring the provisions of this circular to the notice of the listed entities and also to disseminate the same on their website. This Circular shall come into force with effect from the quarter ending September 30, 2022.
