Kirkland & Ellis is advising the special committee of the board of directors of Nasdaq-listed Vimicro International Corp., a leading video surveillance technology and solution provider in China, in connection with its ‘going private’ acquisition by a buyer group including the co-chief executive officers of Vimicro, Dr. Zhonghan (John) Deng and Zhaowei (Kevin) Jin. The Merger Agreement was announced on September 15, 2015.
The Kirkland team on the transaction is being led by Hong Kong corporate partners David Zhang and Jesse Sheley.
