Mayer Brown JSM acted as the legal adviser for BOCI Asia Limited and China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited as the joint bookrunners on the US$121 million global offering and listing of Flat Glass Group on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Flat Glass is a Zhejiang-based photovoltaic glass (PV glass) manufacturer. The company is principally engaged in the design, development, production and sales of PV glass, which is sold to PV module manufacturers in China and overseas. In addition to PV glass, Flat Glass also manufactures and sells float glass, household glass and architectural glass.
According to Frost & Sullivan, Flat Glass is the largest PV glass maker globally and in China, in terms of sales revenue of PV raw glass and processed PV glass in 2014. Its sales revenue from PV glass in 2014 accounted for approximately 18.9 percent of the total global sales revenue of PV glass and approximately 26.3 percent of the total sales revenue of PV glass in China.
