Industrial product design
On January 30, 2019, the Parliament of the Union of Myanmar passed the long-awaited Myanmar Industrial Design Law (“IDL”). The implementation details of this law will be released on September 29, 2023, and will come into effect together with this law on October 31, 2023. Industrial design protection can be sought in Myanmar from October 31, 2023. Notice No. 71/2023 of October 27, 2023 also released the design application form.
