AWA Asia, the Asian arm of leading European intellectual property firm Awapatent is pleased to announce the recruitment of a new partner in Hong Kong, Charlie Liu.
Charlie has been advising clients on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights for over 15 years. His practice focuses on trademark portfolio management including searches, applications, oppositions, reviews and administrative appeals in the PRC. He assists MNCs and leading local companies from diverse industry sectors such as luxury brands, sportswear, automobile, pharmaceutical, media, wholesale and retail and eSports in enforcing trademark rights through customs, administrative and court actions.
Charlie was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2003. Before joining AWA Asia, he was partner at a local tier one firm and before that served as an in-house counsel at a leading Hong Kong telecommunication group, primarily for its media business.
