The Metaverse – an interconnected virtual world in which people can live, work, shop and play, has been pegged to be as game-changing as the advent of the Internet. As the possibilities open up for people to conduct their lives and businesses within virtual worlds, new legal challenges and obstacles arise. The traditional legal principles, procedural rules and modes of dispute resolution may evolve to meet the unique challenges of a virtual world.
In this seminar, Mr Chuan Wee Meng, the CEO of SIMC, joins Ms Gloria Lim, the CEO of SIAC, along with Mr Shaun Leong, FCIArb and key personalities in the technology and investment sectors, to discuss the role that arbitration and mediation may play, and their advantages in metaverse-related disputes.
Please feel free to send us any questions on these topics so that we can cover them in the presentations. The session will conclude with a Q&A segment.
