We would like to gently remind you that on June 1, 2022 (the “Effective Date”), Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (“PDPA”) will come into force in its entirety. To enable your company to continue with the processing of personal data that you have collected prior to the Effective Date for the scope of the original purpose(s) and in compliance with the PDPA, we would encourage and recommend that an “Opt-Out Notice” pursuant to Section 95 of the PDPA be furnished to your customers, vendors, employees, or any other categories of data subjects, together with the relevant privacy policy/notice, prior to the Effective Date.
If you have not yet prepared the Opt-Out Notice or have any inquiries regarding the preparation or implementation of the Opt-Out Notice, or any other personal data protection-related documentation, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be very pleased to assist you to ensure that your company will be in compliance with the PDPA on the Effective Date.
