ZICO Law Myanmar is providing emergency relief for families most impacted from COVID-19 in the Hlaing Thar Yar township of Yangon. COVID-19 lockdowns have forced the factories and industrial complexes in Hlaing Thar Yar to close – leaving its families in urgent need of support, particularly essential food items without which families have been forced into hunger.
Our goal is to provide 100 households with food donation packs consisting of essential food items like rice, oil, beans, canned fish, and other dried food items. All donations will be made to the Hlaing Thar Yar township families and the local community on a targeted handover date of 9 November 2020.
The distribution of donation packs will be coordinated by the Hlaing Thar Yar General Administration Department and local charities/non-governmental organizations.
