Morrison & Foerster Hong Kong Managing Partner Timothy Blakely has been recognized in the Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders – GIR 2021 guide jointly published by Who’s Who Legal (WWL) and Global Investigations Review (GIR). Tim is one of only five Hong Kong-based lawyers who received this recognition under the Investigations chapter of the international “Thought Leader” series. This is the second time this year that Tim has been recognized by WWL after being named as a recommended global leader in the WWL Investigations 2021 guide. WWL reports that peers and clients applaud Tim for his “practical advice and consistent quality of service,” and because he “handles pressure with ease while maintaining a sharp mind and down-to-earth manner.”
Tim’s practice focuses on government and internal investigations, complex commercial litigation, and international arbitration matters. He has extensive experience in conducting internal investigations throughout Asia, including investigations of potential violations of anti-corruption laws. He also leads pre-acquisition compliance and anti‑corruption‑related due diligence and post-closing remediation, and regularly provides advice, counseling, and training to clients about The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and anti-corruption related issues.
